The arts and humanities are critical to our success as a college and a community. The well-educated student must be taught the skills of critical discourse for our complex world.

As communication becomes more varied and accessible, the ability to understand, interpret, and analyze different, languages, cultures, and points of view become more important.

Buffalo State's teach students to think logically and critically; analyze beliefs and values; write and present ideas clearly and concisely; read with a deeper understanding; and to recognize and evaluate different points of view.
