Buffalo State alumnus Howie Greene, former manager for James Brown, will talk artist management with students and faculty in a visit sponsored by the Music Department. The talk is free and open to the public.
Greene is an adjunct professor at Niagara County Community College teaching visual communication, a talent manager, and producer living. He has had a long career in show business and politics. He spent several years traveling the world as part of the management team for Brown, the Godfather of Soul. He currently works with Brown’s daughter, Deanna Brown Thomas, partnering on several projects including working with the James Brown Family Foundation and the Soul Generals, featuring former members of Brown's band.
Previously, Greene was a radio talk show host and morning drive deejay in Denver, Cleveland, Southern California, New York City and Washington, DC. He also was an executive producer and host at Sirius/XM. He is a frequent blogger on the Huffington Post and Examiner.com and a public speaking coach.
Greene is a Buffalo State College graduate and was one of the founding members of WBNY-FM 91.3.
